Screening of Curated Films
What is Ark Film Festival?
The Ark Film Festival aims to bring the independent cinema closer to audiences, showcasing the films that do not reach the conventional distribution circuit. The festival focuses on drawing spotlights to the upcoming filmmakers, as well as guiding them by showing the early works of the prominent filmmakers across the world.
The Pune-based festival was started back in 2014 as a short film festival. But it is grown into an event that includes both short and feature length fiction and documentary films. A two-day event also includes an open-air screening to instill a different touch to the film-viewing experience and its appreciation.
Over 2000 attendees have graced the screenings of more than 90 films across the 4 editions.
Along with the films of young directors, the festival has exhibited the works of renowned directors like Chaitanya Tamhane, Anand Gandhi, Umesh Kulkarni, Subhashish Bhutiani, Amit Masurkar, Mangesh Joshi and many more.
